My name is Brianne and I’m a student in the Cardiology Technology program at Stenberg College. I was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta and have been living in beautiful British Columbia for three years. I will be completing my practicum in the Okanagan, but until then I’ll be writing to you from the lovely campus in Surrey.
As the daughter of a Registered Nurse, I’ve always had an interest in pursuing a career in health care. I choose this program because I find it to be the perfect balance of patient care and technology. I know as a Cardiology Technologist I will be making a difference in the world by helping others, while also having fun and enjoying what I do.
What sets Stenberg aside from its competitors, is the fact that I attend class five days a week and will have plenty of hands-on experience with the equipment. I’ve already been in the program for a little over a month now, and I can honestly tell you that I have never enjoyed school as much as I do right now. I knew the course would be challenging (and boy is it ever) but what surprised me is how much I love being a student.I’m so excited to share my experiences with you and hope that by reading along, others will be inspired to make the next step towards accomplishing their own career goals.
