Thoughts on The End of The 2015 Year

This year has been such a great year for me. The last term of the Practical Nursing program was hectic. Not knowing how the case study testing would go and how I would do on my VIH and INP final was very frustrating, but fortunately for me I passed.

Now I am in practicum working in Surrey Memorial Hospital in the Nephrology unit. Knowing I have accomplished such a big step in my life while being a mom and a wife is very exciting for me. The years leading up to this during school have been a challenge, but without the support of my family and the teachers at Stenberg, I wouldn’t be where I am right now.

This holiday I would like to spend more time with family especially my kids and husband. I felt as if I have neglected them during school and now it is my time to give them my attention. Now that I am almost finished the program, my future goals are to get a job hopefully at Abbotsford Regional Hospital or Surrey Memorial Hospital and work for a year or more and then take the Registered Nursing program online through Athabasca University.

I believe in continuing education. Even though it might be hard to do, I don’t want to stop in perusing my dreams. most people think that having a family and children slow dreams down of the parent but I believe it is the opposite. It is a blessing because it motivates you to give everything you have and to set an example to the children that are watching.
