About Hana
Hello world! My name is Farhana, but I go by Hana which is so much easier for people to remember. And I do want to leave some good imprints on you. I chose to be part of the Community Support Worker Program because the Stenberg Program is the only program that allows me to be me and help others. I am definitely a big giver, hugger and a great friend once you get to know me.
Another reason why I chose this Program is to help be a part of a better health care system, from what it was and how it used to be. My father was in a care facility and, knowing what I know now, I wish he was still around to receive the proper care from myself and other works. I can only do better and help others with their lives.
Being back in school, I didn’t think I could do it, but here I am writing about how my experience has been. My goal is to complete this program with a broader view on how I can make myself a better person whole being there for others that need it most.
Career-wise I see myself coordinating programs as well as doing one-on-one support. I would also like to further my education and learn from other branches in the field of community support work. We all like "me time” and when I do relax – I hang out with my family, have movie nights and Wii nights (with dancing games that I am quite competitive with). I also like to swim and play tennis, as they are both relaxing sports in my view. I also like to people watch and of course, retail therapy is a must! Thanks for reading and I hope to see you around campus.
We want to congratulate Hana on completing the Community Support Worker program! It’s been a hard few months, but she has done well and we wish her the best of luck on the next chapter of her career and life.
xoxo
